• Transfers between Wisely wallets
• Transaction descriptions and notes

This information is used to provide Wisely's personal finance management features.

We may process technical or security information necessary to operate and protect the Service, such as:

• Browser or device information
• Login activity
• Session information
• Trusted-device information
• Verification attempts

• Date and time of activity

2. How we use your information

Wisely may use information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Verify your email address and authenticate account access.
• Provide password-reset, account-recovery, and trusted-device functionality.
• Record and organize transactions and calculate wallet balances.
• Create and monitor budgets, goals, planned and recurring payments, debts, receivables, and transfers.
• Generate financial reports, summaries, and charts.
• Provide notifications and reminders.
• Maintain security and detect suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Process account suspension, recovery, deletion, and exports.
• Troubleshoot errors and improve Wisely.

We aim to use personal information only for legitimate purposes connected with providing, protecting, and improving Wisely.

3. Wisely wallets and financial accounts

Wallets created within Wisely are financial tracking records. Wisely does not automatically connect to your real bank account, electronic wallet, or payment account simply because you create a wallet using the name of a financial institution.

Do not enter your:

• ATM PIN
• Online banking password
• Card CVV
• One-time banking password
• Other sensitive banking authentication credentials

into wallet names, transaction descriptions, notes, or other ordinary Wisely fields.

4. Receipt scanning

Wisely may provide receipt scanning to help you enter transaction information. When recognition is performed locally in your browser, the selected receipt image is processed on your device and is not intentionally uploaded to or stored on Wisely's server.

When Azure-powered receipt scanning is enabled, the selected receipt image is securely transmitted to Wisely and Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence for analysis. The image is used to extract transaction details and is not intentionally retained by Wisely after processing unless otherwise stated.

Recognized information may be displayed for review before saving a transaction. Verify scanned information because automated recognition may be inaccurate. If Wisely's receipt-processing method changes so images are uploaded or stored, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Email verification and security

Wisely may send emails for purposes such as:

• Email verification
• Verification codes or one-time passwords
• Password resets
• Security-related communications
• Account-related notices

Verification codes and similar security information should be used only for their intended purpose and may expire after a limited period. Do not share verification codes with other people.

6. Trusted devices

Wisely may provide a trusted-device feature to reduce repeated security verification on recognized devices. Information necessary to recognize trusted devices may be stored or processed for security purposes. Avoid marking public or shared computers as trusted devices.

7. Notifications and preferences

Wisely may provide account, financial, budget, payment, or security notifications. Where preferences are available, you may manage certain notification types through account settings. Some security or essential account communications may still be necessary regardless of optional preferences.

8. How we protect information

Wisely uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or loss. Measures may include:

• Password hashing
• Authentication controls
• Email verification
• One-time verification codes
• Session management
• Trusted-device controls
• HTTPS
• Database access restrictions
• Input validation
• Administrative access controls
• Account-suspension mechanisms
• Security logging

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your passwords, verification codes, devices, and exported financial information.

9. How we share information

Wisely does not sell or rent users' personal financial information. Information may be processed or disclosed when reasonably necessary to operate Wisely, including to service providers that support:

• Website hosting
• Email delivery
• Server or database infrastructure
• Security
• Other technical operations

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, lawful legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect Wisely, its users, or the security of the Service.

10. Third-party services

Wisely may depend on third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, or other technical services. These providers may process limited information necessary to perform their services and may maintain their own privacy policies. Wisely does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

11. Cookies and sessions

Wisely may use cookies or similar browser technologies necessary for functions such as:

• Maintaining login sessions
• Authentication
• Security
• Trusted-device recognition
• Remembering necessary preferences

Essential cookies may be required for Wisely to function correctly.

If Wisely later introduces advertising, non-essential tracking, or additional analytics technologies, this Privacy Policy and any applicable consent mechanisms will be updated.

12. Data retention

Wisely retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Maintain your account
• Provide requested features
• Maintain security
• Resolve technical problems
• Prevent abuse or fraud

Information no longer reasonably required may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of as appropriate.

Export information you wish to retain before deletion.

Wisely may provide functionality that allows you to export certain account or financial information. Once information has been downloaded or exported to your device, you are responsible for protecting that copy.

16. Philippine data privacy

Wisely aims to handle personal information consistently with applicable Philippine privacy requirements, including Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and applicable guidance from the National Privacy Commission.

Wisely recognizes the principles of transparency, so users should be informed about processing; legitimate purpose, so information should be processed for lawful and appropriate purposes; and proportionality, so only information reasonably necessary for the intended purpose should be collected and processed.

17. Data breaches

If Wisely becomes aware of a personal data breach, reasonable steps will be taken to investigate, contain, and address it. Where notification is required by applicable Philippine law or regulation, appropriate notifications will be made to affected individuals and/or the relevant authority within applicable requirements.

18. Children's privacy

Wisely is intended primarily as a personal finance management tool and is not specifically designed for young children. Where applicable law requires parental or guardian authorization for processing a child's personal information, Wisely will take reasonable steps to comply. If you believe a child's personal information has been improperly provided to Wisely, contact us.

19. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Wisely may update this Privacy Policy when its features, technologies, security practices, or legal obligations change. For significant changes, Wisely may notify users through the website, account notifications, email, or another appropriate method. Users may be required to acknowledge an updated Privacy Policy where appropriate. The Last Updated date identifies the latest revision.
